Here's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

For me, since BMW never imported the 5 door 1-series (one of my favorite cars), I will go with the 3-series wagon. Yes, it's awesome that BMW continues to give us 3-series wagons when they only account for 2% of the 3-series sales, but dammit I want a manual wagon! Also one that doesn't have AWD, but that's another story.
What car would you buy (or at least consider) if only it had a freaking manual?

I've always wondered if I'd want a Citroen C6 with a manual, or whether it's fine that they all came in auto. It's not like they're really designed to be hustled around fast.

If the Ferrari 458 replacement had an option for a stick I think I'd have to sell my house to get one. That's how badly I would want it. The 458 is already great and the replacement will be even better if past history is any guide. The F355 was an evo of the 348 and it was much better. The F430 was an evo of the 360 and it was much better. The 458's replacement will be an evo of it and it should be awesome. And it might be the last N/A V8 that the Dino line uses. There are rumors that Ferrari will move to a TT V6 in the future. The last N/A V8 would end up becoming a collectors item in the future.
So it's a good thing that Ferrari won't offer a stick. That will save me from making a terrible financial decision. My house will probably appreciate more in the long run than a Ferrari might if held for 40 years...

There are SSOOOOO Many!!
But I would say primarily, if money were no option, any high end sports car or supercar. I know the DCT in the 458 Italia is beyond impressive, but on the offshoot I take it to the track... otherwise, being able to shift in .003523 seconds means nothing to me. On the street, I would rather row my own gears.

If the 458 came with a manual I'd consider it the best modern supercar on sale today, and if Ferrari moves to a TT V6, they will be much less appealing to me (although they'll convince the public that it's the greatest thing ever and win everyone over)

Let's hope the TT rumors aren't true!
A 458 or 458 successor with a gated manual would be pure heaven. You could drive it for the rest of your life (as long as you could afford the maintenance). I honestly feel that I would never need more HP. Who cares if future Ferraris have 1000 HP? I would be more than content with the 458's level of performance if it just had the damn stick!

They have a bizarre depreciation curve. They were about £30k new, and like all big Citroens lost two thirds of their value in the first three years, selling for no more than about £10k, but what's weird is that the market seems to have bottomed-out at 6 years old and £6-7k.

I've driven it a few times. It not a performance bargain by any means, but subjectively I think it's the best looking car sold today by quite a margin. I'm over chasing 0-60 or track attack times now, so a 6-sp MC would suit me just fine.

I was thinking about something - now that the Gallardo is gone the Audi R8 V10 is the best new car you can get with a gated shifter (at least for now).
People who have the means to order a brand new one in the color they want should do it NOW!

It's the only new car you can get with a gated shifter. I see an Orange one every day I pass the dealership on the way to work, I hate the color, and it's been there for 2 months which means other people must hate it also, because the last R8 they had sold in about a week.

The F-type with a manual? Makes perfect sense. I have no idea why they haven't done one yet.
But the XK, specifically the first generation? That car, even in R trim, was more of a cruiser. If there were a choice, for that car I'd choose the auto.

If you were buying used and limited to the standard colors which one would you pick?
It would be so hard for me to pick. I don't love any of the standard colors. But I like a few of them equally. Actually I like pretty much all of the standard colors other than the orange, the new matte colors, and the darker of the metallic blues.
If I had to narrow it down I would pick from this list:
The lighter metallic blue (not the super light grayish one, but the actual blue)
White
Silver
Dark gray
